Every native methods which is available for performing exchange 2010 to office 365 migration has some or the other drawbacks like mailbox size limitations, more time consuming or it may needs power shell commands execution. Any wrong move may lead to huge data loss or it may make the process very complex. Therefore to avoid all these scenarios its better to make use of third party tools like EdbMails for Exchange Migration process.

Outlook 2010 users only
Outlook 2010 users must have the latest Windows updates applied before carrying out this task. To check, and install, the latest Windows updates, proceed as follows.
Open your web browser or, if it's already open, open a new window.
Go to portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx.
Click Desktop setup.
The Desktop Application Setup page appears.
Click Set up.
A setup_en.exe file downloads to your desktop.
Click on this file to open it.
A Security Warning pop-up appears.
Click Run.
Ensure there's a tick in the checkbox, Microsoft Outlook (manual steps required).
Click Continue, to finish the set up.

Hope this helps you out,
J Wick
