I'm looking at a 2017 Mercedes E400 from a private seller and the car looks clean but I know these V6 biturbos can have issues with oil cooler seals and the 9G transmission can develop torque converter problems. I found a website that offers inspections for Mercedes and wanted to learn more about what their process includes, but the site was pretty vague. Has anyone here used a pre purchase inspection service on an E class or similar and can tell me if they actually put a scope down the intake to check for carbon buildup or test the transmission for slipping when hot? I'd rather pay for a thorough check than discover a leaking rear main seal a month later. Any tips on what specific things to ask the inspector to focus on would be really helpful.
