Panic attacks immediately following traumatic events do not cause PTSD in the long term, or do not predict
New conduct research dispels a recent notion in psychiatry that if a person experiences a panic attack during a traumatic event that is likely to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the future.
New research suggests that factors such as a prior history of depression, people with emotional support network and self-esteem are better indicators of susceptibility to PTSD individuals.
It was previously thought that panic attacks immediately following traumatic events such as a car accident cause PTSD in the long term or predict. But the study's authors say there are more me.
"Clinicians need to look at other signs of mental stress such as not sleeping, recently withdrawing from social interactions. "Our study suggests that many factors contribute to traumatic stress disorder is panic attacks during the event." Details are sourced by Anna Gibson Steel Ebook Review
