Recently I see in spaces and parks more mothers who jump on the rope, while their kids play. This kind of makes me happy, because jumping rope is a great cardio exercise that burns a lot of calories – more than 100 calories in 10 minutes – and there are many additional benefits for the body, especially if it runs properly.

In this article we will see why jumping rope is useful, how to jump, how to properly burn the maximum calories with jumping and how accurate is good to go.

Why Jump Rope?

This is an exercise in which we burn a lot of energy without burden seriously joints (of course, if we perform it properly-see rules below).

Increasing bone strength, which is why jumping rope is recommended for prevention of osteoporosis.

We become resilient, flexible, improve coordination (eyes-hands-feet) and the balance of your body.

Rope is easily removable, can combine jumping with the game on the kids, talk with a friend, watching the TV show.

Jump on your fingers, heels should not touch the ground.

Choose good athletic shoes, which provide for the maintenance of the foot, especially at the front of the sole.
Don't jump on thick carpet or grass in order to avoid possible injuries. A better option is a mat, parquet, soft rubber coating (the stadiums, tennis courts).
